I had a great time @ Billboard Live Fukuoka last night
seeing Marlena Shaw live…!!!! It was my first time to see
her show and I was so lucky that she featured such great
musicians like Chuck Rainey / David T. Walker / Harvey Mason
/ Larry Nash to her band this time ( as many of you know
they played on her ‘75 classic album ” Who Is This Bitch Anyway ” ) .
After the show, many people lined up to get an autograph from them..
I know it’s too dark to see what’s goin on there but here…
Chuck Rainey, Marlena Shaw and David T. Walker are giving autographs to fans.
While they are doing that, I got a chance to say hello to Harvey Mason!
It’s been a long time since last time I interviewed him with Fourplay …
He was still nice and asked me how things at the radio station and stuff
and he never forget to mention about his son The Underdogs. Here are
some names of my favorite The Underdogs works…
Brian McKnight – “Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda”
Fantasia – “Ain’t Gon’ Beg You”
Javier – “Biggest Mistake”
Justin Timberlake – “Still On My Brain”
Mario-” How Could You ”
Ruben Studdard-” What If ”
Faith Evans-” Never Gonna Let You Go ”
Avant – “4 Minutes” …
I said ” Your son is doing too good in the scene! ” and he smiled.
