今日は初めて(！)大濠公園能楽堂に行ってきた。

『能・狂言に魅せられて・・・開演午後６時半、山本東次郎、殿田謙吉ほかが、狂言の「蚊相撲」、能の「杜若（かきつばた）」などを上演。Ｓ席５０００円ほか。コモンセンス＝０９２（５５２）８８４４。』(コモンセンスにどうしてもピクリと反応してしまったし。) 音、動き、着物、、、etc 後で誰か詳しい人にクエスチョンしたくなる点がたくさん出てきて、最初から最後まで驚くぐらい引きつけられた。行けてよかった。誘ってくれた妹に感謝☆

Erykah Badu premiered a new track (produced by Madlib) called
Strawberry Incense from her upcoming album “New Amerykah
Part Two”. The album art has been released as well, and it was
designed by artist Emek, who did most of the artwork for her last album.

Boomboxの歴史。言われてみれば、この２０〜３０年？でこんなに
音楽のツールが変わるなんて本当に驚き。このドキュメンタリービデオ
の中にいろんなインタビューが出てくるけど、すごいよこの人。NY在住、
写真家、Lyle Owerkoっていう人。Boomboxのコレクターであり、それらを
写真にも収めているらしい。彼のお気に入りはSharp GF-9696だとのこと。

Gabourey Sidibe’s “Precious” Audition Tape

日本ではゴールデンウィークに公開予定の映画「Precious」
プレシャスを演じた主演のギャビーちゃんは、この映画の
オーディションを受けるために学校をやスキップして、すぐに
この役を射止めて数日後には監督に呼ばれ撮影の準備に入った
というシンデレラストーリーが伝えられているけど、その
オーディションのテープがこの度ネットに配信されていたので
ここにリンク。

これを見ただけで涙が出てくる迫力の演技。
このオーディション受ける前は演技はやってなかったらしい。

She is awesome.

Check out the trailer of the documentary Jean-Michel Basquiat:
The Radiant Child, directed by friend Tamra Davis, which features
never-before seen footage of the ARTIST painting and talking
about his art two years before his death in 1988 and sets the
record straight following Julian Schnabel’s fictional BASQUIAT.

The film, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize
at Sundance last month, was released February 21 and
will be shown at SXSW next month.

すごっ。こんなフィルムがあったんだ、、、

友人であるTamra Davisによって1986年に撮られた、バスキア本人の
貴重なインタビュー映像が収録されたドキュメンタリーフィルムが公開
され、先月のサンダンス映画祭ではGrand Jury賞を受賞したんだって。

1996年にJeffrey Wright様主演で製作された彼の自伝映画
BASQUIAで語られなかった部分っていうところも見れるのかな、、、
ぜひ見たい１本。

A feature-length documentary about the black arts movement
that exploded in Fort Greene from the mid 1980s through the
90s.The film features Spike Lee, Chris Rock, Rosie Perez, Vernon
Reid, Carl Hancock Rux, Saul Williams, Lorna Simpson, Alva Rogers,
