I had a great time @ Billboard Live Fukuoka last night
seeing Marlena Shaw live…!!!! It was my first time to see
her show and I was so lucky that she featured such great
musicians like Chuck Rainey / David T. Walker / Harvey Mason
/ Larry Nash to her band this time ( as many of you know
they played on her ‘75 classic album ” Who Is This Bitch Anyway ” ) .
After the show, many people lined up to get an autograph from them..
I know it’s too dark to see what’s goin on there but here…
Chuck Rainey, Marlena Shaw and David T. Walker are giving autographs to fans.
While they are doing that, I got a chance to say hello to Harvey Mason!
It’s been a long time since last time I interviewed him with Fourplay …
He was still nice and asked me how things at the radio station and stuff
and he never forget to mention about his son The Underdogs. Here are

昨晩・・・Marlena Shawのライブに行ってきました!!
かっこよかった・・・全てが！聴き所盛りだくさん（涙）
Goodieさんたちも来てたショウだったし、熱心なファンの人たちも多い
2ndショウだったので会場はとても盛り上がってました☆そういう環境で
見れるのってラッキーです。
ショウが終わってチャック・レイニー、マレーナ・ショウ、デビッド・
T・ウォーカーがファンにサインをしている間にハービー・メイソンさんに
挨拶することができました。FM福岡のディレクターの能崎君も一緒に
写真を撮ってもらいました♪ special thanks to Baba-san!!!!
ライブでも演奏されていたTaught Me How Tp Speak In Loveを下に・・・♪
なんか個人的にとっても心に残った１曲でした・・・
喉を潤すため？に噛んでいたガムを途中出して譜面台にくっつけ
しばらくして「ごめんなさいね、この柔らかさがいいもんだから」
って言いながらポイっとまた口の中へ。「インプラントにもこの位が
ちょうどいいのよ」って。（笑）そしてまたまた歌いだす。曲の前後の
話もマレーナ・ショウになるとミュージック。姉御の話は楽しい・・・。
「この曲を聴くと、昔男の子に熱をあげてたころを思い出すわ・・・
みんなもあるでしょ？そんな出会いの経験。いまどきだったらみんな
match.comとかやってるでしょ？日本はそういうのやらないの？うそ
絶対あるでしょ！」そんな話まで出てくる・・でも全てマレーナ調だから
うわ〜本物だ・・・って感じ。とにかく話も歌声もソウルフルでjazzyで
ファンキーで・・・貫禄・・・（拍手）（拍手）（拍手）
あ〜ライブって最高ですね。
